Every year, MedTech Outlook magazine compiles a list of the top 10 medtech providers in Europe that are at the forefront of providing medtech solutions and impacting the healthcare industry. This year, Surge-on Medical was included in this prestigious list and featured an interview with Surge-on Medical’s CEO Benno Groosman in the December issue.
In the article, Benno focused on the added value of Surge-on Medical’s patented technology and its wide market applications. “We are unique because our instruments are steerable and detachable, and therefore cleanable.
Our products drive environmental benefits—due to the reduced amount of disposed plastics and metal—and surgical benefits through efficient, cleaner, and safer procedures. They could allow patients to recover faster from surgeries,” said Benno. Also highlighted in the article is the birth of the technology at the Delft University of Technology years ago, where Surge-on Medical’s CTO Tim Horeman played a crucial role.

The core of the Top 10 initiative of MedTech Outlook is to showcase innovative companies and success stories to help us build a futuristic technology-driven environment to cater to the needs of the modern-day patients. Being in this Top 10 medtech providers’ list reinforces Surge-on Medical’s position as the leader in cable-free steerable surgical instruments and its business potential. The latter has already been highlighted in their equity crowdfunding campaign on the aescuvest.eu platform, which is currently reaching the target threshold and is still open for investments for the remaining of 2019.
